The Spirit of Yoga is a yoga holiday and tour in one: an opportunity to experience yoga in its homeland, see some of the best temples in Southern India and learn from yoga masters of different traditions. Led by British yoga teacher Alex Reed, a small group of yoga enthusiasts will be travelling around a coastal region in south India – Tamil Nadu, famous for its remarkable temples, devotional spiritual traditions and wonderful vegetarian food.

Come and join us. This tour, along with its yoga programme, is designed to suit beginners and experienced yoga practitioners alike.

Between visits to sacred places, relaxation and shopping, there will be time and space to focus on your daily yoga practice with Alex and guest teachers from the area.

Alex’s classes are a blend of traditional practices and modern styles themed around the ancient philosophy of yoga. Morning classes will be warming and energizing, while evening classes will feature Satsang (talks on yoga philosophy), traditional meditation practices and guided relaxation.

Highlights include:

• Sunshine, palm trees and fresh coconut water – with warm weather and hotel pools to help you forget it’s February
• Full yoga programme
• Yoga, meditation and learning at local centres including Sri Ramana Ashram, Ashok Tree, Viniyoga Healing Centre and Vivekananda House
